All the doctors in our practice are well established general practitioners with many years of family medical practice experience and have satisfied the training requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners for vocational registration.

 

This means we have a commitment to general practice and to continuing medical education.

 

Dr Michael Plunkett does not consult on contraceptive or early pregnancy issues.

 

Dr Sarah Willard is currently on Maternity Leave till approximately mid year 2020.

 

After 25 years of service, Dr Jennifer Andrewes will be retiring at the end of December. 

We wish her a long, happy & healthy retirement. Our team will dearly miss her.

   

 

 

 

Dr Danny Lipson

Dr Lipson (son of Oscar) has been at the clinic since 1982, after completing 3 years training in family medicine. He has a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology and has a special interest in paediatrics and counselling.

Danny is married with 2 children and enjoys skiing, golf and following the football.

Dr Andrewes graduated from Otago University, New Zealand and undertook postgraduate studies in England and Australia. Dr Andrewes has specialist qualifications in occupational medicine and has a diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She has a special interest in paediatrics and child development, having worked in this area in England. She has an interest in women’s health issues. Jenny has 2 children.

Dr Plunkett joined the clinic in 2007. He has spent most of his working life in country/outer west of Melbourne where he was working in anaesthetics/obstetrics and has an interest in paediatrics. He was the Werribee Football Club doctor and is a great fan of the Magpies. Michael has 6 children.

 

Dr Plunkett does not consult on contraceptive or early pregnancy issues.

   

 

Dr Kafayat Lee

Dr Lee graduated from University of Nottingham UK and has a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology. She has a special interest in women's health, child health, chronic disease management and minor surgery. She follows soccer and enjoys travelling.

   

 

Dr Mark Michail

Dr Mark Michail graduated from Melbourne University and has a Diploma in Aesthetics Medicine. He has a special interest in chronic disease management, children’s health, emergency medicine, sports medicine and minor surgery. Mark is married with two children.

   

Dr Sarah Willard

Dr Sarah Willard completed her Generalist Medical training in North Queensland and her undergraduate at James Cook University in 2013. Sarah is originally from South Africa and immigrated to Australia with her family in 2006. During her time working at the Townsville Hospital she spent time in multiple medical specialties including Emergeny, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Renal medicine. Sarah loves the diversity that General Practice offers as every day has a new challenge and feels privileged to treat not only the patient but often their whole family. Her main interests are Women's and Children's health, family planning and minor procedures including Implanon insertions and removals. Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and playing a game of squash.

 

 

Dr Zahid Haider  MBBS FRACGP MRCS PLAB

Dr Zahid Haider has special interests and skills in skin conditions and skin cancer surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCS). Dr Haider has also completed an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery. He is also an Examiner for Royal College of General Practitioners.

Dr Haider has been working as a GP since 2011. Prior to this, he has worked at various Victorian Hospitals including Ballarat Base Hospital and The Alfred Hospital in Emergency, Trauma and Surgery.

 

Dr Haider has an interest in all areas of general practice including men's health, mental health, child and maternal health. He is competent in conducting skin checks, removal of skin lesions, removal of skin cancers, skin flaps and grafts, treatment of ingrown toenails and joint injections. He also performs Implanon and Mirena procedures.

 

Dr Roya Dabestani MRCGP FRACGP

Dr Roya Dabestani is an experienced female GP from the UK. She graduated from Medical School in 2003 and obtained her MRCGP in the UK in 2007 before coming to Australia and obtaining her FRACGP in 2008. Roya is a patient doctor who takes time to listen and has a range of special interests including dermatology and minor surgical procedures, women's health including Implanon insertions and removals, care of the elderly and chronic disease eg diabetes management, occupational medicine including workcover,  pre-employment medicals and taxi medicals. Roya is married with a toddler and is an avid tennis fan, enjoys playing the piano and ukulele.
